Ankawa -  Sarkis Aghajan received Alex Laskaris, the US Embassy in Iraq team leader of the Regional Reconstruction Team in Kurdistan region.

Discussed during the meeting were issues related to the general conditions of the Christian community in Iraq, particularly in Kurdistan Region.

Also discussed were the demands of the Chaldean Syriac Assyrian people for an autonomous area in Kurdistan Region as well as the establishment of a new governorate in the Plains of Nineveh.

At the end of the meeting Laskaris expressed his appreciation to Aghajan for the great hospitality.
