Nineveh Plains - The CSA Student and Youth Center began a course for coming high school seniors on math and science this week in the town of Tesqopa, in the Nineveh Plains.
The course is supervised by Bassim Francis Jajo and began on June 12 and is to be completed on September 15. Classes are held five days a week.
Tesqopa and the rest of Nineveh Plains has lacked basic services such as youth developement since 2003. While other regions of Iraq prosper, the Nineveh Plains continues to be neglected.
The course is sponsored and funded by CSA Student and Youth Center which is the youth-wing of the CSA Popular Council.
Financially supported by Sarkis Aghajan, the Popular Council runs various social programs targeting improvised Assyrians throughout the region.
