Mr. Fahmi Mansour, member of the Administrative body of the Chaldean Syriac Assyrian Popular Council and his accompanying delegation visited Mr. Marco Rubio, vice-chairman of the American Republican Party office, inside the Congress building; the delegation was received warmly and welcomed by Mr. J R Sanchez, director of the Office of External Relations and Mr. Jimmy Fly adviser of Foreign Security Relations. Mr. Mansour presented a full explanation of the political situation in Iraq and the suffering of the CSA people, due to the lack of political balances and the current conflict witnessed by the country between the major parties and its negative impact on the lives of the Christian minorities and other small ethnics.
He also provided a clarification for Mr. Sanchez and Mr. Fly on the just demands of our people to live a stable life with the other nationalities through the achievement of the autonomy and the development of the province in the Region, also how the Christian villages are exposed to the demographic change, which is resulting in the migration of a large number of our people, after that Mr. Mansour presented the Council Shield as a gift for the Misters Sanchez and Fly

The two gentlemen confirmed that our rights are legitimate and they will present our cause to the U.S. Senate and Congress. Mr. Mansour was accompanied on this visit by Mr. Madloum Maroki, representative of the Council in Canada, Louay Mikhail assistant chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Council, and Mr. Joseph Kassab, director of the Support Iraq's Christians Institute in the United States of America.
