Albaraka is one of the villages surrounding Sheigh Metti monastery located opposite to the village of Merki . It is a modern village implemented lately for the immigrant families fleeing from Mosul and Baghdad after constructing (56) houses by the committee authorized by Mr. Sarkis  Aghajan, besides providing the village with all supplies required by the inhabitants including water and electrical systems also providing the village with a large electrical generator.
